Mastering the LED backlight

Thanks to such a simple invention, like LED lighting, you can decorate with bright lights various things and objects. For example, casual shoes, roller or hockey skates, etc. In order to perform the illumination, we need a soldering iron with solder and flux, a battery with a voltage of 12V or 8V (The higher the voltage, the brighter our illumination will shine), the LED tape, multiple wiring and toggle switch.

There are now a large number of LED strips, in our case we use a waterproof tape. eniya. This tape is very securely fastened due to the adhesive surface.

It is best to take the wires flexible so that they can bend without risking breaking. Both copper and aluminum will do.The cross section of the wires is selected based on the amount of current that will flow through them. And since our LEDs consume very little current, the cross section will fit the minimum. However, for high-quality soldering wires must be tinned, and insulation of too thin wires will melt very much, so it’s better not to use threads. For compact switching on and off any compact switch, in our case we use a 3-pin toggle switch. Tumbler also selected by the current, but we have it, again, quite small. We turn directly to the process of soldering. The greatest difficulty is the process of soldering wires to the battery. In order to reliably and firmly solder them, first we clean the metal contacts on the plus and minus with fine sandpaper or an ordinary knife. After that, we solder the wiring to the plus and minus on the battery, pretripping them.

After that, you need to do the same procedure with the toggle switch.We also clean the contacts a little and solder the wires to them, and we take one wire from the minus of the battery. As we can see, the circuit is almost ready, only the LED tape is missing.  Making LED Backlight
There are 2 pins on the LED tape: + 12V and GND. We take the wiring from the plus of the battery and solder it to the + 12V contact on the LED strip. The remaining free wiring from the contact of the toggle switch is soldered to the GND contact on the LED strip. In the photo below I represent what we should get.
