Ginger Glazed Donuts

Ginger donuts with icingis a recipe.


  1. wholegrain flour 1 cup;
  2. baking powder 1 tsp.;
  3. baking soda 0.2 tsp.;
  4. cinnamon 1 tsp.
  5. ground ginger 0.5 tsp.
  6. Allspice 1 pinch;
  7. cloves ground 1 teaspoon
  8. salt 0.2 tsp;
  9. brown sugar 120 gr;
  10. 1 egg chicken;
  11. apple sauce 60 ml;
  12. Maple syrup 2 tbsp. l.;
  13. milk 3 tbsp. l.;
  14. Butter 4 tbsp. l.;
  15. powdered sugar 120 g.


Preheat oven to 1750c.

Mix in a large bowl flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, salt and half brown sugar. Add egg, apple sauce, maple syrup, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of milk and half of the butter (melted). Put the dough in a pastry bag or a plastic bag. Cut the corner of the bag and squeeze the dough into a donut baking dish, oiled (fill to 1/2).

Bake in the oven for 7-8 minutes. We get out of the oven and take out donuts from the mold.

Melt the remaining butter with the remaining sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for about 2 minutes. Add 1 tbsp. l. milk and bring to a boil again. Add icing sugar. If the icing is too thick, dilute it with 1 tbsp. l. milk.  

Do not remove the icing from a slow fire, dunk donuts into it. Frosting froze very quickly.
