Do-it-yourself door slopes

After installing a new iron front door in the apartment, all the pleasant impression about it can be immediately dispelled if you do not make slopes from inside the apartment. Only they can say about the fully completed stage of repair work.

Specialists are most often invited to make them ideal.

Slopes are a small section of a wall around the door frame (outside and inside it).

In recent years, their arrangement is mandatory, because they not only decorate the overall appearance of the door space, but also serve as the beginning of the overall design of the corridor or room.

Photographs are made with the cover of the program

Materials and tools:

  1. PVC Corner 60x60mm 2.7 / 3m, white
  2. Glue for PVC materials;
  3. Gun for liquid nails, polyurethane foam, etc.
  4. Knife, scissors, ruler
  5. Screwdriver
  6. Self-tapping screws
  7. Gypsum tile
  8. Adhesive for gypsum products
  9. Grouting tiles
  10. Spatula
  11. Syringe

Step 1

As you can see, on one side of the door the junction wall with the door frame is one-piece, suitable for processing and decoration.

The wall on the other hand has a pipe inside which the power cable (standpipe) passes.

To this pipe mount, breaking its integrity can not be anything.

On this side, you must restore the area (angle) of the wall.

It is better to do this with special construction mixtures.

But it is long, expensive and you need to have a certain skill.

This MK is a Life Fish. How to make a fake slope ...

Step 2

It is necessary to measure the height, width and depth of the slope.

Depth can be measured like this:

Attach the ruler to the flat surface of the wall with the help of a molar tape so that its end goes forward a couple of centimeters.

Step 3

To postpone the floor of the scientists dimensions on the PVC corner.

1. The height of the corner

2. The depth of the slope lay on one side of the corner (the width of one side of the corner)

The markup must be applied so that the excess portion remains above the intended lines.

Step 4

Cut the edge of the corner, then cut with the knife or scissors only the side that will cover the escarpment itself.

The side to be attached to the wall must be cut 5-7 cm above the intended line.

Step 5

In the end, you should get such a corner as in the photo.

In the end, you should get such a corner as in the photo.

Notice that one side of the corner is already another. That side is longer, which is wider, narrow side of the corner.

Do the same with the corner for the opposite side and the top of the escarpment.

Step 6

Grease abundantly with glue on both sides of the corner and glue it in the proper place for it.

Step 7

Anything extra can be cut.

Where possible and it is permissible to fix the corner to the screws.

Step 8

On the side of the slope where the pipe was located on the screws you will not attach and there is a void between the side of the corner and the wall. The corner does not fit tightly and tumble into the voids.

To prevent deformation and make the work qualitatively, it is necessary to dilute a bit of glue for gypsum products. Dilute it so that it passes into the syringe.

Typing glue in a syringe to fill them with voids.

This should be done gradually, starting from the bottom. Fill, see 7-10 and allow to dry. After drying, fill another 7-10 cm and allow to dry and so on until the top corner of the slope.

That the corner and glue have seized can be fixed with a paint tape.

Step 9

After complete drying and fixing the corner on the slope, let's proceed to its decoration with gypsum tile under the brick.

It is light and will hold well.

Once again, measure the slope and cut the pieces of tile according to size.

Lubricate the piece with mounting glue for PVC. (in this MK different glue is used, more precisely glue from different companies in different packages)

The glue in such a package is more convenient to squeeze out in small portions.

It is better not to coat several pieces in advance, the glue dries quickly.

Step 10

Attach the plaster slice to the slope (corner)

In those places where there are screws, you need to lay out so that the screw head would be in the seams between the tiles.

The tile must be pressed down, but without strong pressure, so as not to break the tile and not push the PVC corner.
