8 tips for violets at home

1. Watering a flower

It is enough to pour a certain amount of water into the pan and put a flower in the pot. After 15–20 minutes, drain the remaining water. For irrigation, it is advisable not to use ordinary water from the tap. You need to defend the water for 2-4 days, pass through the filter, then water the room violets.

2. Lighting violets

Proper lighting is one of the most important conditions for the lush flowering of violets. From direct sunlight, burn spots will appear on the flowers, so in the summer it is better to place the violets on the eastern or northern windowsill, and in the winter - on the southern one.

3. Proper feeding

The flower needs feeding only in the period of growth or flowering.Fertilize flowers should be no more than once every 2 weeks.

4. Pots for violets

When choosing the size of a pot for a violet, it is important to consider the size of the plant. For example, for an adult large flower, a container with a height of 9 centimeters is suitable. When growing medium-sized plants, it is better to give preference to a capacity of 7x7 centimeters.

5. Reproduction of home violets

The most common method of reproduction of violets is the propagation by leaf cuttings during spring or summer. Cut a healthy stalk from the flower, put it in boiled water and leave for 2-4 weeks. If the leaf starts to rot, change the water. When rosettes appear on the cuttings, transplant them into the soil.
